We not only collect and quality control data, but we analyse it as well.
All of our reports can be found on the National Coastal Monitoring website, however, for convenience, the latest of each report can be found below.
Annual Reports
If you are looking for our latest annual reports for 2023 on beaches, we are currently in the process of replacing these with a new Dashboard, which will allow a more interactive and intuitive way of viewing our latest and historic topographic data.
More information will follow on this in due course, in the meantime please view out latest topographic profile data on our Map Viewer and download the data from the National Coastal Monitoring Website.
Our flagship reports, the annual reports, have been produced since 2009 and present an overview of wave and tidal measurements, along with beach change from topographic surveys.
The reports contain detailed change analysis on all beaches, focussing on two main epochs, the yearly change and the historic change compared to the first survey ever completed. Our most recent annual reports can be downloaded on the links below.
Post Storm Reports
Post storm reports analyse and present an overview of the hydrodynamics and beach morphological changes which occur during a storm event.
Topographic post storm surveys are completed within 48 hours of a storm event and capture a select number of profiles at the most vulnerable points along a beach. A post storm survey is conducted if there has been significant change to one of our beaches and is often triggered by storm threshold exceedance of nearby wave buoys. The post storm survey data is compared with the most recent survey completed.

Wave, Tide and Weather Reports
Annual wave, tide and weather reports are compiled for the entire National Coastal Monitoring Network and contain the annual results of the statistical analysis of the quality controlled data for the network.
